Viscose

Viscose was invented in France in 1880 and then patented in the UK at the beginning of the 20th century. It originates from the trees pulp or straw, which after an elaborate process becomes cellulose. Viscose is a yarn so soft and shiny that it resembles silky fiber,  which is much more expensive and hard to produce. For many years in fact viscose’s official denomination was “artificial silk” or “vegetal silk” before these denominations were forbidden to protect the value of silk. Today viscose is largely used in the fashion world, combining versatility and sustainability.
It's a perfect fabric for everyday use.
