This wonderful fabric originated for the production of workwear in the classic indigo or China blue coloration: a type of vegetable dye later replaced by more durable and resistant chemical products to withstand frequent washings.
A dye that we consider an unparalleled asset, as it imparts new and exciting shades to our garment with each wash. This fascinating fabric is ideal for creating lightweight pants, shirts, skirts, and dresses.

Do you know why denim is indigo blue? Blue was the color of the working class in the 18th century; so, because denim was originally made for workwear, it was dyed blue. Also, at that time, natural indigo was readily available, making it the major type of dye used for denim. Even today, the term "blue-collar" refers to someone who does manual labor.

Since the yarns are immersed in indigo only briefly during the dyeing process, the dye does not reach the center of the yarn completely. Therefore, when it is washed or under friction, it will gradually fade, and part of the yarn's white core will be exposed. In our opinion, this is precisely its charm!

Furthermore, studies indicate that natural indigo shows antimicrobial properties against microorganisms. Many other natural dyes also have this characteristic, but none are suitable for medical use.
