The key characteristics of silk lie in its length and fineness, with an average of 800 meters. Another crucial aspect in evaluating silk is its touch, which reveals the softness, flexibility, and fluidity of the fiber. An extremely soft silk fiber produces flowing and delicate fabrics, while a stiffer fiber provides more support to the fabric. Silk has low elasticity but is remarkably strong, especially in its "raw" form.
