This winter fabric, composed of 97% cotton and 3% elastane, features a soft corded nap on its surface, making it perfect for creating soft and warm garments for the cold season, suitable for both rural and urban settings.
A French corduroy available in three color variations that will make your pieces both original and classic at the same time. Excellent for crafting jackets, pants, and jackets.

CORDUROY PROPERTIES:
• Smooth and soft due to its cut-pile brushed nap
• Twill weave backs are more durable
• Durable due to its weaving structure
• Naps tend to shed on a plain weave back
• Naps tend to matte with pressure or abrasion
• Rushed or matted pile appears in spots and can look like a stain

STORY:
Corduroy was initially woven from silk to create clothing for the nobility during the 18th century. During the Industrial Revolution in England, corduroy began to be produced from cotton and evolved into a fabric associated with the working class. It also gained popularity as a choice for upholstering cars. Corduroy workwear jacket After the Beatles played a role in popularizing corduroy again in the 1960s, it became associated with British country clothing.
